Denis Bortnikov headed the Board of Directors of the VTB Bank (Kazakhstan)
On June 30, 2017 Denis Aleksandrovich Bortnikov was elected to the position of the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan).
Denis Bortnikov has been working more than 20 years in the banking sphere, including 11 years with the VTB Group, where he currently holds the position of the Vice-President-Chairperson of the VTB Bank Management Board.
The Chairperson of the Management Board of the VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) Dmitry Zabello noted that "appointment of Denis Aleksandrovich to the position of the head of the Board of Directors of the subsidiary bank in Kazakhstan is very balanced and tactically perfect decision. Currently Denis Aleksandrovich oversees in the VTB Group the "medium-sized business" direction, which, according to the new development strategy of the VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) for 2017-2019 is separated in individual business line and is a top priority one. I am sure that the experience of Denis Aleksandrovich and his strategic vision will help us to implement all the plans”.
The total number of members of the Board of Directors of the Bank has not changed and is 7 people.

Denis Bortnikov was born on November 19, 1974. He graduated from St. Petersburg University of Economics and Finance (specialty: national economy). From 1996 to 2004 he worked in Industrial-Construction Bank OJSC (renamed into VTB Bank North-West OJSC in June 2007). Since 2004 – he held the position of the Adviser to the Manager of the North-West Branch of the CB GUTA-Bank CJSC. Since 2005 he was the Deputy Manager of the Vneshtorgbank Retail services CJSC. Since 2006 he was the Deputy Manager of the branch of the Vneshtorgbank (VTB) OJSC in Saint Petersburg. Since November 2007 - Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board, since August 2010 – the First Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board, from February 1, 2011 - Chairperson of the Management Board of the VTB Bank North-West OJSC (now the North-Western Regional Centre of VTB Bank OJSC). After completion of the integration of the VTB Bank North-West OJSC into the VTB Bank Denis Bortnikov became the head of the North-Western Regional Center of VTB Bank and Senior Vice President. From April 2017 he is the Vice-President-chairperson of the Management Board of the VTB Bank.
