VTB (Kazakhstan) started issuing "Mir" plastic cards
Customers of VTB (Kazakhstan) can get a plastic card from the Russian payment system "Mir". You can apply for its issue in any branch of the bank in 17 regions of the country. The period of card issuance in Almaty will be one business day, and in other cities – up to 5 days.
VTB (Kazakhstan) launched digital cards of the "Mir" payment system in December last year. Now customers of the bank in the republic can get its physical version. The card can be replenished through self-service devices and bank cash desks, QIWI, and Yurta terminals, from the current account in the mobile application, by transfer from another "Mir" card or third-party bank account according to the details.
"We record a stable demand for "Mir" cards in Kazakhstan from retail clients; they are regularly used for transactions. For the most part, users pay with cards when traveling to Russia and pay for educational and IT services. Also, our ATMs and cash desks recorded the largest volume of withdrawals through cards "Mir" of foreign banks in Kazakhstan" – Stanislav Koziakov, director of the retail business department of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan), commented.
With the "Mir" card, customers can receive transfers from cards of this payment system of any banks that have already implemented such functionality, make online purchases, and make payments in the VTB KZ Online mobile application. Abroad, they can make purchases in retail outlets and withdraw money from ATMs that support the acceptance of "Mir" cards. The card can also be connected to the Mir Pay application and used for contactless purchases with an NFC-enabled Android smartphone of version 7.0 or higher.
VTB (Kazakhstan) fully services both its own cards "Mir," and cards issued by other foreign banks. Its holders can withdraw any amount from ATMs without restrictions on the number of transactions. The cost of issue of a plastic card is 2,000 KZT; the digital card is free of charge. Servicing of the card is free.
The fee for withdrawal of funds from the cards "Mir" VTB in the ATM network and cash offices of the bank will be 1% of the amount withdrawn, and in other banks outside the country – 1.5%. The minimum fee is 500 KZT.
