Bank VTB (Kazakhstan) announces the financial results for 2011

Graphic1_gorizont_vishe.jpgAlmaty – Subsidiary of JSC Bank VTB (Kazakhstan) publishes its financial statements on the results of 2011:

Key financial and operating performance compared to the same period last year:

  • The authorized capital of 20 billion tenge, an increase of 11 billion tenge;
  • The bank’s assets have grown by 2.8 times-up to 62,470 billion tenge;
  • Liabilities increased by 3.3. times – up to 44,872 billion tenge;
  • The share of the loan portfolio in the structure of the Bank’s assets grew by 25.4%. Growth of loan portfolio in 2011 was 35 344 million tenge, or 342.2%. Loan portfolio quality is high;
  • The amount of funds in the accounts of customers and deposits continued to grow, and on December 31, 2011 reached 30 047 million tenge, significantly increased compared to 2010;
  • Net interest income amounted to 1400 million tenge, an increase of 2.6 times compared to the same period last year;
  • Net commission income reached 375 million tenge, an increase of 3.4 times compared to the same period last year;
  • Increase in net loss of up to 1 807 million tenge (3.4.-fold compared to 2010) is associated with the planned expenditure for the development of branch network, increase staff and active growth of the Bank.

Subsidiary Bank VTB in Kazakhstan, which started its activities in 2009, is developing very rapidly, showing the excess of the targets of the business plan. In 2011 competed the construction of branch network, which now has 24 outlets, covering 17 cities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The bank continued to introduce new products to attract customers to provide a full range of competitive banking products.

The development of the network and removing the entry of new proposals for modern banking products has contributed to the loan and deposit portfolios”.


Major events in 2011:
June  2011 – SO JSC Bank VTB (Kazakhstan) admitted to the JSC « Kazakhstan Stock Exchange » by class “member of the foreign exchange market”, with the right to participate in the exchange trading of foreign currencies;
October 2011-  has begun mass production of international payment cards for customers of the Bank. For the 2011 launched 4160 payment cards. Network of acquiring devices of the Bank has 23 ATMs and 42 POS-terminals, and covers 17 major cities of Kazakhstan.
The Bank received an international rating at «BBB-»/ forecast «Stable» from the Agency Fitch Ratings, testifying to the positive and stable financial condition.
