VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) has financed one of the most important objects of the Universiade 2017 in Almaty

20.04.2015 VTB Group continues to actively financing of sports facilities. So, under preparation for the 28th World Winter Universiade 2017 in the Almaty city JSC VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) has financed a major sports facility - Ice Arena.

Construction of a sports complex with a rink "Ice Arena" has already begun in Medeu district of Almaty between Kuldzhin and Talgar tract on Eastern Bypass Road of Almaty (EBRA). The general contractor for construction of the facility serves a subsidiary of the group of companies «BAUR Kazakhstan» - LLC "Ariya-Zhana Astana".

Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan), Sergey Gusarov: "VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) has been actively financing important projects, especially those which in the future will enable to hold on the highest level international competitions, as well as concerts and cultural and entertainment events. We hope that in addition to the title of a key object of the World Winter Universiade 2017 the complex will be one of the favorite places for sports and inspire residents and guests of the southern capital to maintain an active lifestyle".

The planned area of the sports complex - more than 17 thousand square meters. "Ice Arena" is designed for 3000 seats. Construction should be completed in December 2016.
