VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) published its audited financial statements for 2016

As of December 31, 2016 the bank’s assets amounted to 183.2 billion tenge that is 10% greater than the result for 2015. For the reporting period the bank’s liabilities increased by 14% and amounted to 168.7 billion tenge. The authorized capital of the bank has not changed and is equal to 27.3 billion tenge. The bank's net loss for the year amounted to 6,5 billion tenge.

- VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) is fully open for the market and regulator. Ending last year, we made an important decision on the recovery of the loan portfolio and reserved a certain part of problem loans, fixing the loss. This allowed the bank to update and start the implementation of the new development strategy for 2017-2019, aimed at strengthening the position of the VTB Group in Kazakhstan. The new strategy already gives the first positive results. Thus according to the results of the 1st quarter, 2017 the bank earned profit in the amount of 184.1 million tenge, - said Dmitry Zabello, the Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan).

Currently, the regulatory capital of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) exceeds the standards of the National Bank of Kazakhstan by 4 times. The bank’s "Liquidity reserve” exceeds the required standards by 10 times. According to the S&P Global Ratings, VTB (Kazakhstan) has the highest credit rating among all second-tier banks in Kazakhstan.
