VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) financed the "Hemodialysis Center" in Astana.

The number of Kazakhstanis suffering from renal insufficiency is increasing year after year. People with this ailment constantly need such medical service as hemodialysis at affordable price. According to experts, at present time there are more than 200 patients who need external blood clearance with the help of the apparatus "artificial kidney" (hemodialysis) only in the capital of the country. Today, this procedure in Astana is provided only by 4 medical institutions. One of them is “Medical Clinic’ Hemodialysis Center’”, LLP signed credit agreement with VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) to the amount of KZT 36.5 million, which allow the medical center to increase the number of hemodialysis sessions by 30% per month.

Earlier, the medical center was equipped with 16 hemodialysis apparatuses, bank`s funding allowed to purchase 4 new “Dialog +” devices, each of which can serve 2 patients a day. The new equipment undertakes the functions of non-functioning kidneys, which allows to prolong the life of patients with chronic renal insufficiency for 15-25 years. The device for hemodialysis filters out toxins and urea from the blood, eliminates excess fluid, normalizes electrolyte balance, arterial pressure and restores acid-alkali balance.
