Changes in the membership of the Board of Directors of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan)

By the decision of the VTB (PJSC) - the sole shareholder of the Subsidiary VTB Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) on June 20, 2017 the following persons were elected as the members of the Board of Directors of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan): Denis Aleksandrovich Bortnikov, who also held the position of the Deputy President - Chairperson of the Management Board of VTB Bank - Bank's parent organization and Aidar Muratovich Kaliyev - head of the VTB Bank Directorate for work with the holding structures.

Denis Aleksandrovich has been working over 20 years in the banking sphere, including 11 years in the VTB Group. He has extensive experience in the field of the bank branches management, liquidity management, brokering transactions, acquiring. He received education at the St. Petersburg University of Economics and Finance, from which he graduated majoring in “national economy” in 1996. Denis Bortnikov is a member of the Board of Trustees of the St.-Petersburg State University of Economics and of the Council of the Association "Leningrad Oblast Chamber of Commerce and Industry".

Aidar Muratovich has over 15 years of experience of managerial work in the field of investment banking, including in the capacity of the global head of venture business VTB Capital, as well as the head of the Directorate of the major holding companies in Russia and CIS countries. Before the VTB Group Aidar Kaliyev has worked in the companies Summa Capital, Eventis Telecom, Electric Power Plants JSC (Kyrgyz Republic), Kyrgyzgas JSC.

- Since the beginning of the year, VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) proceeded to implementation of the new development strategy for 2017-2019. New path requires a fresh look at the business processes and new approaches to the implementation of the plan. Inside the Bank we have already updated our managerial staff by 80%, changes in the Board of Directors will help us in fulfilling the tasks set by the shareholder, - noted the Chairperson of the Management Board of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) Dmitry Zabello.  

The powers of the members of the Board of Directors Michael Eduardovich Oseyevsky and Bairam Jusupovich Valiyev were terminated on their own initiative on June 20, 2017 also by the decision of the sole shareholder of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan). The total number of members of the Board of Directors of the Bank has not changed and is 7 people.
