S&P confirmed the credit rating of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan)

30.11.2018 On November 28, 2018, the international agency S&P Global Ratings confirmed the long-term credit rating of Subsidiary VTB Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) at the “ВВ+/В” level, bank’s rating according to the national scale remained unchanged as well – “kzAA”. Projected change in rating is “stable”.

According to the opinion of S&P, industry risks of banking sector has increased, but the rating for the Subsidiary VTB Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) remained unchanged, as the bank has “very high” strategic relevance for the parent company – VTB (PJSC) and may obtain a range of competitive advantages owing to the affiliation with the large international financial Group.

Credit rating — is a measure of bank solvency. The main purpose of such evaluations is to give potential creditors and depositors an idea of probability of on time repayment of the financial liabilities, committed by the bank.
