Following the results of competitive tender, conducted by Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund JSC, VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) was chosen as an agent bank for the payment of warranty reimbursement of individual persons’ and individual entrepreneurs’ deposits, established in Qazaq Banki JSC, liquidated compulsorily.
- According to the current legislation, in cases like that, financial institution with stable financial position, having no violations of prudential regulations, with wide branch network and infrastructure, allowing to service depositors across the country, may act as an agent bank. As of today, VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) has one of the highest credit ratings among second-tier banks of the country. Affiliate banks are located in all regions of the country, at the moment, VTB network includes 89 ATMs and 28 cash operating units.
Payment to the depositors of Qazaq Banki JSC will commence on December 24, 2018. VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) is not entitled to accept the depositors’ applications and pay warranty reimbursement before December 24.
To receive the warranty reimbursement of deposit, clients of Qazaq Banki JSC need to appeal to any branch of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) with proof of identity and written application. Addresses of branches are available on the bank’s website www.vtb-bank.kz. You can receive money in three ways, at depositor’s discretion: in cash from cash-desk, by transfer to the bank account or to the deposit in agent bank.
Individual persons and individual entrepreneurs have the right for reimbursement of money, placed on deposits, in current accounts and payment cards in Qazaq Banki JSC. Reimbursement shall be paid up to the amount of deposit balance considering accumulated return, but not more than maximum guaranteed amount:
• 10 million tenge – for local-currency deposits,
• 5 million tenge – for foreign-currency deposits.
For the deposits of one depositor, placed in Qazaq Banki JSC both in tenge and in foreign currency, cumulative reimbursement of up to 15 million tenge is paid, herewith, for the foreign-currency deposit – not more than amount, equivalent to 5 million tenge.
Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund JSC, by the aid of special reserve, will fully provide VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) with money for the payment of reimbursement to the depositors of Qazaq Banki JSC.
