The credit rating of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) has been confirmed at “BB+/B” with a “Stable” outlook.


On January 26, 2022, the international rating agency Standard & Poor’s confirmed the long-term and short-term credit ratings “BB +/B”, with a “Stable” outlook for VTB Bank (Kazakhstan). S&P also affirmed the bank’s national scale rating at kzAA.

“We believe that the bank will continue to follow its strategy and develop its main business lines, focusing on providing services to retail clients, as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises; in accordance with the bank’s plans, by the end of 2022, 70% of the loan portfolio should be accounted for these two segments. We believe that the market of Kazakhstan is very important for the strategy of expanding the group’s business in the international markets, and the activities of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) are closely related to the activities of the parent structure”, was mentioned in S&P Global Ratings statement.
