VTB (Kazakhstan) has launched outgoing Mir card transfers

29.06.2023 VTB (Kazakhstan) supplemented the functionality of its Mir cards with the ability of transfer using them to cards of any foreign banks of the Russian payment system. Clients can send funds using the VTB KZ Online mobile app. The transaction fee will be 1%, minimum – KZT 700.

Transfers are available for holders of both virtual and plastic Mir cards of VTB (Kazakhstan). To use the new functionality, clients just need to go to the Card Transfers section, enter the recipient’s details and card number and send money. The funds will be credited to the account on the same day and will be automatically converted into the currency of the card to which the transfer was made.

“The demand for Mir cards keeps growing along with new features that we are constantly implementing within this product. Today, transfers are one of the most demanded services for individuals – we have processed about 18,000 transactions from the CIS countries since the beginning of the year. The launch of outgoing transfers from Kazakhstan will allow to send money to any Mir card in another country for our clients within a couple of minutes”, – Stanislav Koziakov, the Director of the Retail Business Department at VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) gave a comment.

Using Mir card of VTB (Kazakhstan), online purchases are also available in online stores and services that support the Russian payment system, and payment for services in the VTB KZ Online app. Abroad, you can use the card to make purchases at retail outlets, withdraw money from ATMs that work with Mir cards. The card can be connected to the Mir Pay app and used for contactless purchases using 7.0 and higher version of Android smartphone that supports NFC technology.

Issuance of Mir plastic card of VTB (Kazakhstan) is possible at any bank branch in 17 regions of the country. It will cost KZT 2,000. Also, clients can get a digital card for free. The bank does not charge a fee for servicing Mir cards.
